<p>It’s been a big month for Duffy, and locals in north Wales got quite the surprise when the singer popped into Caffi Largo in Pwllheli last week. The <em>Mercy</em> star was spotted enjoying a coffee just a few miles from her hometown of Nefyn, delighting staff and customers ahead of her first live performance in more than 15 years.</p>



<p>The Welsh songstress recently confirmed plans for a secret intimate London gig and is also set to feature in a Disney+ documentary reflecting on her time away from the industry after more than a decade out of the public eye. Safe to say, we&#8217;re thrilled to have her back. </p>

<p>Keep your eyes peeled if you&#8217;re heading to the Brecon Beacons, because there&#8217;s some TV magic happening in the hills. Filming has officially started on <em>Better Later</em>, a brand-new BBC comedy co-written and starring Ruth Jones and Steve Speirs, with cameras rolling across South Wales.</p>



<p>The six-part series follows the unlikely friendship between two people who meet at a knee trauma clinic, proving life can still throw up a few surprises when you least expect it. Set in the fictional Welsh village of Brynfach, it sounds like exactly the kind of warm, funny and heartfelt comedy Ruth does so well. So if you spot camera vans, a film crew or even a familiar face while out for a walk, you&#8217;ll know what the fuss is all about.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-big-news-for-labubus-lovers">Big news for Labubus lovers</h2>



<p>Collectible fever is about to hit the capital, so brace yourselves. POP MART, the geniuses behind Labubus, is opening its first-ever Welsh store at St David’s Cardiff on <strong>Fri 19 Jun</strong> at 10am. Known globally for its designer toys that sit somewhere between art, fashion and full-blown pop culture obsession, the brand&#8217;s arrival is a pretty exciting one.</p>



<p>Located on the upper level of the Grand Arcade, near Zara and Sephora, the 2,529 sq ft space has been designed as an immersive playground for collectors, bringing POP MART’s colourful world of characters and storytelling to life. See you in the queue. </p>

<p>A Cardiff street food favourite has just cooked up some national recognition, with chef Krish “Pankaj Krishnan” taking home Street Food Chef of the Year at the Craft Guild of Chefs Awards. Known for working out of a tiny 3m x 3m gazebo, he’s spent the past decade serving up delicious dishes across Wales, building a reputation far bigger than his modest set-up might suggest.</p>



<p>From street corners to festivals, his journey is a brilliant example of Wales&#8217; independent food scene &#8211; built on flavour, community and a whole lot of hard work.</p>

<p>Ahead of season three premiering this weekend (<strong>Sun 21 Jun</strong>), eagle-eyed viewers may spot some familiar scenery as north Wales once again steps into the world of Westeros. A host of stunning Welsh locations are set to feature in the highly anticipated new season of <em>House of the Dragon</em>.</p>



<p>From Beaumaris Pier on Anglesey to Craig yr Undeb in Gwynedd to the beautiful waters of Ffynnon Llugwy in Eryri National Park, there&#8217;s plenty of Welsh beauty to look out for. It’s not the first time Wales has played a starring role in the fantasy epic either. Previous seasons transformed Trefor Quarry and Dinorwig Quarry in Gwynedd into Dragonstone and Harrenhal, while Porth y Cwch on Anglesey provided the backdrop for one of the show&#8217;s haunting shoreline scenes.</p>
