<p>Brace yourself, because Cardiff is about to get weird and wonderful. Later this month (<strong>Fri 27 Feb</strong>), the capital will welcome Upside Down House UK – with its very first Welsh home on Queen Street (existing locations in Brighton, Bristol, Liverpool, London and Gateshead). Yes, everything’s upside down. No, you’re not imagining it. And yes, your camera roll is about to explode.</p>



<p>Inside: eight wildly themed rooms that turn everyday life on its head and celebrate Welsh culture and imagination, including inspiration from the legend of the Welsh Dragon, a rugby-themed tribute to Wales’ sporting passion, and a farm style lounge featuring sheep details and cosy interiors.</p>



<p>Built for families, content creators, and visitors of all ages, this topsy-turvy attraction is all about silly fun. Tickets are already on sale, so don&#8217;t miss your chance to be one of the first.</p>

<p>With a loyal following in the South West, Society Café is journeying across the bridge to open its first Welsh site. And coffee addicts, you’re in good hands. Speciality coffee is the core in which everything else sits on, with two espresso blends on rotation every day – a trusty house blend from Origin Coffee Roasters in Cornwall, plus a guest blend that switches things up. You&#8217;ll also find a selection of locally baked treats for dunking and nibbling. Location and opening date are TBC but as soon as we know, you&#8217;ll know! </p>

<p>Tuck in your napkins and grab your roomy trousers &#8211; Allister Barsby of Kent&#8217;s two star Michelin restaurant, Hide and Fox, is heading back to Grove of Narberth for a very special guest chef evening.</p>



<p>For one night only, the chef, known for his distinctive menus, will present an exclusive tasting menu that&#8217;s true to his inventive and ingredient-led style. It&#8217;s a full circle moment for Allister, who served as Executive Chef at the hotel, before leaving to fulfil his dream of opening his own restaurant. Six courses will follow a Champagne reception in the Fernery restaurant, kicking off at 6.30pm sharp. Tickets are £140 per person, and seating is on social tables.</p>

<p>Hikitalo isn’t your average sit&nbsp;and sweat in silence sauna. The current Porthcawl sauna&nbsp;by the sea is all about good vibes, conversation, and fostering human connection. And now a newbie&nbsp;is on the horizon.&nbsp;Hikitalo is opening Wales&#8217; first sauna village, tucked behind Meanwhile Cardiff in the city centre.</p>



<p>Opening in April, this steamy playground will host 36 people at a time, seven days a week, with three woodfired saunas, hot and cold plunges, showers, changing rooms, plus courtyard and indoor chill out space. We&#8217;re forecasting more heat, more dips, more community, and more reasons to block out an afternoon for wellbeing.</p>

<p>The doors of Makers Club are officially open, and we&#8217;re rather chuffed. The store&#8217;s mission is to support local artisans by showing off their handmade treasures – with candles, t-shirts, jewellery, cards, art, and everything that&#8217;s gorgeous and giftable. You&#8217;ll find the super friendly team, and an abundance of Welsh goodies, tucked inside the High Street Arcade.</p>

<p>Two heavy hitters of Welsh hospitality are teaming up, and honestly, it’s the kind of collab we love. Blas Restaurant at Twr y Felin Hotel (with three AA Rosettes, in Haverfordwest) is joining forces with The Parkgate Hotel&#8217;s restaurant, The Sorting Room, for a three day pop-up (<strong>Thurs 26</strong> – <strong>Sat 28 Feb</strong>) that’s all about great food, stories, and proper Welsh cooking.</p>



<p>This is a meeting of minds (and kitchens), at the helm of Blas chefs Dan Slipakiv and Gareth Evans, alongside Justin Llewellyn from The Parkgate Hotel. Together, they’ve cooked up a menu that bottles the soul of Pembrokeshire – inspired by land and sea, with top notch local produce used throughout. If you want a seat, you&#8217;ll need to run.</p>

<p>Even though we can sing just as angelically ourselves, obvs, we&#8217;re rather smitten with the beauty that is Katherine Jenkins OBE. The blonde beauty from Neath is the biggest selling classical artist of this century, and has just announced an 18 date UK tour to celebrate her incredible 25 years in music. On <strong>Sun 4 Oct</strong>, she brings her vivacious energy back home, hitting the vibrato the Wales Millennium Centre. Tickets go on sale this <strong>Fri</strong>,<strong> 20 Feb</strong>, at 10am, so be ready.</p>
