<p>The indomitable Depot team are back and bringing the heat this summer with a lineup that’s impossible to ignore. Grammy-nominated MIKA kicks off <em><a href="https://www.depotlive.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle</a></em> on <strong>Thurs 12 Jun</strong>, then McFly hit the stage on <strong>Wed 25 Jun</strong> for a full on singalong of all the classics. American superstar Katy Perry takes over on Mon <strong>30 June</strong>, followed by Bastille on <strong>Thurs 10 July</strong>. And that’s just the beginning of Cardiff Castle’s epic summer. Other big hit names include Sex Pistols, Hollywood Vampires, Two Door Cinema Club, Bowling For Soup and Pete Tong.</p>

<p>The Royal Welsh Show is the big one in the British agricultural calendar – four days of everything countryside, competition and community, drawing over 200,000 visitors to Mid Wales each year. From livestock and equine competitions to forestry, crafts, food, drink and a packed programme of daily entertainment, there’s busyness around every corner. Alongside the main events, you’ll also find some additional fun like wood chopping, honey making, Bara Brith baking and even tug of war. New for 2026 is Cynefin, a Welsh sheep village created with the National Sheep Association, giving visitors a closer look at how sheep farming helps shape Wales’ landscapes and rural life. So cute.</p>

<p>Later this summer&nbsp;<em><a href="https://www.greenman.net/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Green Man Festival</a></em>&nbsp;returns to the stunning&nbsp;Brecon Beacons National Park&nbsp;from&nbsp;<strong>Thurs 20 –&nbsp;Sun 23 Aug</strong>. Four days, 20,000 happy campers and 17 stages packed with live music, film, comedy, theatre, and poetry. Mud, magic and culture in equal measure, and a much more relaxed, less feral festival than what you may be used to.</p>

<p>The Great British Food Festival is a proper foodie lover&#8217;s day out that tours some of the UK’s most beautiful historic parks and estates, bringing together street food, artisan traders, live chef demos and plenty of entertainment along the way. At Margam Park, expect a mix of flavours and fun – from live cooking and hands on workshops to an artisan market, music throughout the day, and loads for families to get stuck into, all set in gorgeously impressive castle grounds with plenty of space to explore (and eat your way through).</p>

<p>A true highlight of the Welsh food calendar, the <a href="https://www.abergavennyfoodfestival.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><em>Abergavenny Food Festival</em></a> has been celebrating great food since 1999. Founded by two local farmers and held each year over the third weekend of September, this not-for-profit festival champions Welsh food culture and beyond.</p>



<p>Each autumn, Abergavenny comes alive as growers, producers and chefs gather alongside writers and campaigners, from household names to emerging talent. With 150+ exhibitors, live chef demos in the Victorian Market Hall and thought provoking talks, it’s a festival that challenges how we think about food, and invites everyone to taste something new.</p>
